I’ve been painting and installing trim and doors for about 6 weeks and I think I’ll probably finish that next week. I mean, a building from the 1970s is still standing…a huge rock wall built right in the middle. But, you know what I mean… we’re making progress.
1. I get asked all the time how I keep lizards to a minimum. Another way is to use trays to organize small spaces. You know how long I searched for it and what a disaster it was when I tried to peel it off and stain it. But regardless, I’m very happy with how it went.

19. Alloys. I’m really bad at this, but I’m trying to get it right. And our house looks a lot better now because my metal mixing skills have gotten a little better.
These days, I use chrome and satin nickel, occasionally adding small bits of burnished bronze (like the dresser hardware) and gold (like the mirror tray I photographed).
