Home Office Decor Chair – Renovating and decorating the third bedroom to turn it into my home office was a really fun process.
Ever since I cleaned out the third bedroom at the beginning of June, finding it completely empty, I’ve been thinking and thinking about what my dream bedroom would look like. Of course, I turned to Pinterest and Gypsy Tan for inspiration these past few weeks to completely transform the space into a chic, boho-chic space.

The first thing I bought for my home office was a black and white national print rug from Target. Honestly, it hurts to pay $99 for a rug! As for size, I bought a 7′ x 10′ to fit in the middle of the room.

However, I knew that the rug was the centerpiece of any room, so I ditched it right away. When I brought it home and took it apart, a black and white tribal rug was perfect for the place. Simba also loves the carpet so much that he sleeps on it at night. Not only is it comfortable under your feet, but it complements my unique bohemian office look.
The next thing I added to my home office was a rattan writing desk. I looked at things from Urban Outfitters and Target, but ended up finding it at a place in Clearwater called Eat Home Up. My friend Sarah calls the store a combination of a home goods store and a hobby store, and I can attest to that.
Thankfully, my sister picked me up in the car so we could load the table into her jeep and head back to St. Pete! what a gem This rattan table is also the last one in the shop. After looking online at Target, I found a product on their website that was very close to my desk for only $100, which is what I paid for the desk.
The writing desk itself does not take up much space and has two storage drawers. Now I have extra makeup, jewelry, and hair products in the drawer that I want to keep with me when I need to prepare an Instagram story, yay! It’s also light enough to carry around if I need to change its location in the future.

One of the best selling parts of this wooden writing table is the rattan drawer, which reminds me of an expensive desk from Urban Outfitters. At Target, this table is part of the Opalhouse ™ Minsmere Living Room collection, which includes more natural elements to fill the space.
Another important factor in creating a bohemian office decor area involves finding the right chairs. Looking at home furniture, I found my perfect pink swivel chair. When I saw the chairs in the home decor section I was amazed! I’ve been looking for a pink velvet chair to add to my home office space for weeks.
Although I got my chair at Home Goods, and most home products look different from store to store, I found the same velvet chairs on Amazon. Another pink rocking chair from Everly Quinn has a similar aesthetic to the one I found at Home Goods.
Now sitting comfortably in my new chair, I couldn’t be happier! I’m so excited to add a velvet chair to my home office, and I was so happy to find one at Home Goods for under $100. The swivel position of the chair allows me to move it around easily, and the chair moves up and down for better mobility. Adding a little pink to this area makes it feel more “me” and adds a much needed touch of femininity!

A boho office needs something green, real or fake. I got this faux palm planner a year ago, $25 from Target.
Some greenery can bring life to a room. Currently my fake plant lives in the corner of my favorite home office. Any modern boho room should include a few pops of green, whether you choose small succulents to put on the table or challenge yourself to keep giant snakes alive. So far I am happy with my fake plants!
Some of the jazz accessories at the top of this office space take a while to find. Target also stocks beautiful home decor items with an emphasis on art. These two art canvas prints sell for $10 each at Target.
My favorite is Women’s Body, $10. Black and white photos look great in any home office because of their simplicity. When I’m typing on my laptop, I want to feel calm and relaxed, which is why I choose to light scented candles on my desk.

The candle on my desk right now is Desert Flora from The Urban Collection by Chesapeake Bay Candles, $12.99. Candles are so sweet to me and the scent reminds me of my recent birthday trip to Savannah, as did the hotel we stayed at for the weekend, Alida! A lovely touch.
