I recently discovered that you can easily dust them in the winter – on a low setting in your hair dryer!”

“Because I’m very neat, I prefer cabinets for storage. That way everything can be hidden out of sight. I have some shelves for books and files I use every day and some just for decoration,” says Carol. What a multitasker. It has the printer on the bottom shelf that I can slide out of the way when not in use. I use the top as an additional work surface when needed. “I would recommend anyone to get one,” says Carol.
“Floating shelves are very popular in home office environments at the moment. They can add character to plain walls. Try decorating them with 3D objects, artwork and plants to add style, or you can opt for artistic walls,” says Scarlett. Use a combination of prints, paintings and 3D elements and try striking frames to add more interest. Alternatively, invest in a large piece of cool artwork if your space is well-stocked. “
“If your budget is tight, invest in high-quality paint and knobs to upcycle existing furniture,” says Scarlett. “It’s simple yet very effective in giving your home office a new look.” In the meantime, you can add voile fabric over your windows to soften the natural light entering the room. Use a fabric that still lets light into the room but not enough to flatter the space. Choose a voile with a subtle pattern and texture to add interest to your room.
